A Pandemic Mixed with Injustice is Just Wrong.

Trailer:

Watch Now:

I don’t typically get political, especially on this account, but this is barely even politics. These are simple human rights. I know that you all have seen many posts about this, but please read this. I realize that not saying anything at all is worse than saying something, being wrong, and then being corrected by it. So I’m saying something.
For us to battle against racism, it starts with admitting you can do better. We need to keep hearing Black Lives Matter. I assumed that everyone understood that I felt that way, but now I see we need to repeat it and repeat it and I’m adding my voice to the chorus due to how messed up things have gotten recently. Everyone needs to pause and truly try to feel the discomfort, confusion, and sadness that you may be feeling.
Don’t want to make a motivational rant speech on social media? That’s ok! YOU DON’T HAVE TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO FEEL VALIDATED IN THIS PURSUIT.
Put in the work, read up, and look at your REAL LIFE and ask what you can do. Social media posts may help with this ordeal, but solely posting on social media won’t change much. I’m choosing to use my voice to encourage white people (especially myself) to look around at your life (outside the internet) and ask what you can to do help the Black Lives Matter Movement move forward. THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO excuses to only watch it happen. I’m expressing all this in hopes of maybe someone else relating and taking the same steps I am to help end the violence and unfair treatment of black people in America.

PHOTO BACKGROUND: This photo was taken before this whole ordeal happened. I was planning on making a post about the pandemic later, but this feels like it’s a more appropriate event for this photo to reflect what’s going on. At this point, the photo reflects both events. The mask represents the pandemic and the tears represent all the lives lost, both from COVID and racism as a whole. I feel the BLM movement is more important than the pandemic. Sure, the pandemic is horrifying, but this is more sad in my opinion. The fact that black people have been fighting for rights (and even their lives) for what seems like an eternity, is absolutely saddening, especially due to the fact that it’s still happening today, in 2020.
Rant over.
